Elizabethtown College
Jesse Waters has extensive experience in academia and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Community Impact and Director of Bowers Writers House at Elizabethtown College since July 2008, Jesse teaches a variety of English courses, including Creative Writing, Composition for STEM, and film studies, while also co-teaching engineering classes. Previously, Jesse held the position of Executive Director at the West Chester University Poetry Center from January 2018 to June 2020, managing operations and programming supported by a significant NEH grant. Additionally, from October 2004 to March 2007, Jesse was the Assistant Director of Education and Department Chair for General Studies at Miller-Motte College, overseeing a successful retention program for the college. Jesse holds a Master of Fine Arts in English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earned between 1998 and 2002.
