Emmanuelle Ott has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, particularly within the areas of foundry products, ferroalloys, and silicon technology. Emmanuelle has held various roles, including Director of Foundry Innovation at Elkem ASA, where they focused on R&D within the cast iron foundry process and the use of ferroalloys. Prior to that, Emmanuelle worked as an R&D Manager at Elkem ASA and as a Senior Scientist at REC Silicon, where they led projects related to the relocation and establishment of R&D labs and conducted research on the kinetics and mechanisms of reactions in silicon technology. Emmanuelle also has experience as a Scientist at SINTEF, where they conducted experimental investigations in the fields of corrosion science, metallurgy, and fuel cell technology. Emmanuelle began their career as a PhD candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where they studied the solidification of ferroalloys. Emmanuelle also gained internship experience in heterogeneous catalysis at SINTEF and worked as a technician at Dow Chemical.
Emmanuelle Ott received a PhD in Material Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the years 2000-2003. Prior to that, they completed their Ingénieur ECPM degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at ECPM Ecole européenne de chimie polymères et matériaux de Strasbourg from 1995-1999. Emmanuelle also studied Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Fustel de Coulanges Strasbourg from 1993-1995.
