Chris Thijssen

Chris Thijssen is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in project engineering and desktop virtualization. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at Zuyderland since August 2024, Chris is focused on the development of new workspaces utilizing technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 11. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a VDI/Desktop Specialist at Elkerliek ziekenhuis, where responsibilities included replacing kiosk and specialized workspaces with Windows 10 LTSC solutions. As the owner of CMT-IT since December 2015, Chris has also provided specialized IT services. Chris's background includes project engineering roles at Bravis ziekenhuis and VieCuri Medisch Centrum, where significant contributions were made to VDI environments and system migrations. Earlier positions include technical application management at Gemeente Sittard-Geleen and senior support roles at Politie-ICT. Chris has a solid foundation in IT acquired from Mts Overmaas.
