Edward Hiar

Edward Hiar currently serves as a Social Studies Teacher and Permanent Substitute Teacher at Elkhart Community Schools since November 2023. Previously, Edward held the position of Associate Director of Development Operations at Harmony Healthcare IT from February 2023 to October 2023. Edward's extensive experience in engineering includes roles such as Chief Engineer at ARBOC Specialty Vehicles (2020-2023), where responsibility involved leading design and fabrication efforts for Paratransit buses, and Automation and Electrical Engineering Specialist at Lippert Components Inc. (2017-2020), focusing on advanced manufacturing systems. Additional roles include Vice President of Engineering at WebTuner Corp. (2016), Director of Software Engineering at Blue Nile (2014-2016), and Senior Technical Program Manager at Google (2010-2013), contributing significantly to software development and project management. Edward Hiar holds a Master of Business Administration in Leadership from Seattle University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Technology from Purdue University.
