Prerana Swami

Prerana Swami has a wealth of work experience in public policy, advocacy, and culture change. Prerana began their career in 2008 as Deputy University Editor for Washington Square News. Prerana then interned at Vogue in 2009, followed by CBS Interactive as a Political Unit Intern for CBSNews.com, and then Greenpeace as an Online Organizing Intern. In 2011, they worked as a Personal Assistant for Linda Chapman - Professor at MCNY, Publicity Intern for NYU Press, and Senior Account Executive for Missy Farren PR (Mfa Ltd.). In this role, they developed and executed earned and social media strategies, cultivated and maintained successful traditional and new media relationships, and collaborated with the team to brainstorm and implement thought leader narratives and brand activations. In 2016, they joined Elle Communications as Director of Political and Culture Change and Senior Associate. In this role, they served as day-to-day lead, overseeing strategy development and execution on a portfolio of 7-9 public policy, advocacy, and culture change clients, and regularly developed and maintained media relationships on behalf of clients and agency.

Prerana Swami graduated from New York University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Politics.
