Alex Hykin

Alex Hykin is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Product Support Engineer at Ellicott Dredges since March 2000, Alex also held roles as Assistant Engineering Manager and Mechanical Engineer within the same company, focusing on customer service support, project schedules, and designing parts for dredges using advanced software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks. Prior experience includes positions as Project Engineer at Tech Team and Load-Air, where responsibilities involved designing testing equipment and directing projects, as well as supervising a group specializing in mechanical and hydraulic systems at State Shipbuilding Design Bureau. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Shipbuilding Institute Leningrad, completed in 1973.
