Damon Silvestry has extensive work experience in the field of operations and people management. Damon began their career in 1986 as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist for the United States Air Force, where they held a Top Secret security clearance and managed a team of six. In 1992, they joined Symbol Technologies as an Operations/New Products Manufacturing Engineer, where they were instrumental in transitioning the operations group to a Small Business Unit (P & L) and led the development of custom products. In 2004, they began working at Recy-Kleen as the Chief Operating Officer, while also serving as President of the Board of Directors for Austin Habitat for Humanity. From 2011 to 2015, they served as Senior Vice President of Operations and People at Miraca Life Sciences, overseeing operations for 5 Anatomical Pathology lab sites and directing the site selection and build-out of a 64k sq. ft. facility. From 2015 to 2020, they were Senior Vice President Operations & People at Natera, responsible for a $182M budget and operational execution of two CLIA Laboratories. Most recently, they have been President and Chief Operating Officer at Progenity, Inc. since 2020, leading a Commercial team and setting operational strategic direction in lab operations, physicians, medical affairs, quality, regulatory, clinical trials operations, revenue cycle management, automation, customer care, facilities, materials and inventory management, supply chain, logistics, Lean Six Sigma/continuous improvement, data analytics, and sales and operations planning.

Damon Silvestry obtained their Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering between 1994 and 2000. Damon also holds a BSIE in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
