Ryan Mathews

Ryan Mathews is an experienced educator and former professional in sports media. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Ellington Public Schools since August 2021, Ryan previously held the same position at Hartford County Public Schools from August 2017 to August 2021 and worked as a Paraprofessional in Bristol Public School District from February 2016 to August 2017. Ryan's extensive background in sports journalism includes a 17-year tenure at ESPN, where roles ranged from Stats Manager to Senior Researcher, contributing significantly to live productions and statistical integrity across multiple platforms. Ryan holds a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Southern Connecticut State University and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Florida International University.
