Jonathan Fentzke

Jonathan Fentzke has a diverse work experience. Jonathan is currently serving as a Co-Founder and General Partner at Far Out Ventures since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Techstars from 2019 to 2022, where they held various roles including TSV 2022 LP and Capital Team Fund Analyst. Jonathan also served as a Managing Director during their tenure. Additionally, they have invested in several companies including Hosta a.i., Ellipsis Drive, AlphaBBL, SaltyCloud, Kayhan Space, Seasats, Nicslab, and Hyperspec.ai starting from June 2020 and continuing to the present.

Jonathan Fentzke has a strong educational background in engineering and entrepreneurship. Jonathan obtained a PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2005, earning both a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics. Jonathan also completed the NSF I-Corps Accelerator program in Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan.

In addition to their formal education, Jonathan holds various certifications. Jonathan obtained a Certification of Accomplishment in Kauffman Fellow Techstars Venture Deals from NovoEd in April 2020. Jonathan also obtained a Motor Boat Operator certification from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in June 2019. Furthermore, Jonathan holds a Certification for Program and Project Managers Senior Level (FAC-P/PM) from Pmbok Project Management, which they obtained in June 2011. Jonathan also obtained a Facility Security Officer certification from the United States Department of Defense in January 2017. Finally, Jonathan has a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential), although the details regarding its institution and acquisition are not provided.
