Mike Nill began his career at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, as a member of their Technology Integration Services organization. During his ten year career, he built many large-scale architectures and technology solutions across a number of industries, including telecommunications, travel and transportation, and state, local and federal governments.
Following Andersen, Mike served as an associate at Cerner Corporation for 23 years where he held several senior and executive-level leadership positions. Throughout his career, Mike managed and expanded many of Cerner’s technology organizations and served as Chief Engineering Officer. Most recently, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer for the past ten years. As COO, he directed the IP Development, Consulting, Managed Services, Support and India operations. As the most senior operations executive for Cerner, he ensured Cerner met the operational and financial performance objectives for a $5.5B global business with 30,000 associates worldwide.
Since leaving Cerner in 2020, Mike has been working with a number of early and mid-stage startup companies. He has functioned in an advisory capacity helping these organizations define market strategies and operational discipline to accelerate their growth to the next level. Participating with these organizations has been very energizing and reminds him of the entrepreneurial spirit that drove the expansion of Cerner to a multi-billion dollar entity.
