Richard Smith

Richard Smith is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in Private Client work. Currently serving as a Partner in the Private Client Team at Ellis Jones Solicitors LLP since August 2021, Richard has previously held the position of Associate at Preston Redman Solicitors from October 2017 to August 2021. Prior to that, Richard was a Private Client Partner at Steele Raymond LLP and held the role of Senior Associate at the same firm, accumulating significant expertise in areas such as wills, administration of estates/probate, lasting powers of attorney, court of protection, estate/tax planning, trusts, and business lasting powers of attorney. Richard began their legal career as a Partner and Branch Manager at Harold G Walker Solicitors from October 2008 to October 2010. Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Exeter between 1997 and 2000, following earlier education at Corfe Hills School.
