Mary Therriault

Mary F. Therriault, M.S., R.N., was Senior Director of Quality and Research Initiatives at Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) in Rensselaer from 2000 until 2016. Among her many duties, Ms. Therriault represented and addressed HANYS’ member concerns and interests with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and HANYS’ activities related to CMS Quality Initiatives.

Ms. Therriault is currently teaching courses online through Excelsior College in Albany and SUNY Empire State College in Saratoga Springs. Her courses include Introduction to Informatics for Nurses and Clinical Systems Management. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, teaching Nursing Laboratory, Bridging Nursing Education and Practice (BEAPS©) with Simulation and Summer Boot Camp for returning senior nursing students.

Ms. Therriault holds an M.S. in Nursing Education from Excelsior College, a B.S. in Nursing from the New York State Regents External Degree Program and an A.S. in Nursing from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Mass.

Her awards include Chapter Recognition Award for Leadership from the Tau Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Advisory Committee Distinguished Service Award from Hudson Valley Community College.
