Nicholas Montalto

Nicholas Montalto currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Acute Care at St. Peter's Health Partners since January 2024, following a longstanding tenure at Ellis Medicine since January 2013 as a surgeon specializing in complex benign gynecologic conditions and robotic surgery. Montalto has held several leadership roles, including Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Surgical Services, overseeing clinical operations and quality improvement initiatives, as well as compliance with regulatory standards. Previous experience includes providing fertility care and complex gynecologic surgery at CNY Fertility Centers and Albany Gynecology & Fertility, and holding positions as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Montalto began a career in research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and gained early experience in publishing with Penguin Publishing Group. Montalto holds an MD from St. George's University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Villanova University.
