Curtis Shipley

Curtis Shipley is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in law firm management and operations. Currently serving as Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Ellis & Winters LLP since June 2004, Curtis plays an integral role on the management committee and has previously held the position of General Counsel, focusing on ethics and professional responsibility. Prior to this, Curtis practiced as an attorney at Moore & Van Allen PLLC from September 1992 to June 2004 and at Sidley Austin LLP from September 1989 to September 1992. Additionally, Curtis began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit from August 1988 to August 1989. Educationally, Curtis earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Iowa between 1985 and 1988 and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University from 1981 to 1985.
