Shannon Tipton

Shannon Tipton is a seasoned professional in higher education administration and consulting, currently serving as a Senior Banner Student Consultant at Ellucian since April 2024. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Eastern Kentucky University from February 2009 to April 2024, where roles encompassed University Registrar, Associate Registrar for Academic Records & Degree Audit, Assistant Registrar of Degree Audit and Curriculum, and Degree Audit Specialist. Additionally, Shannon operated as an Independent DegreeWorks Consultant from August 2012 to July 2018, providing expertise in implementing the DegreeWorks Degree Audit system. Shannon's career began at Nova Southeastern University, where a role as Student Systems Administrator was held from November 1998 to February 2009. Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University.
