Ian Burrows has a diverse work experience in the leisure industry, starting as a Duty Manager at Tiffin Sports Centre from 1995 to 1998. Ian then worked at Elmbridge Borough Council, where they held various roles over the years. Ian worked as a Marketing and Communications Officer from 1998 to 2003, followed by a position as Leisure Development Manager from 2003 to 2006. From 2006 until 2022, Ian served as the Head of Leisure and Cultural Services. In March 2022, they transitioned to their current role as the Head of Culture, Leisure and Environment, where they are responsible for delivering high-quality services and advising senior decision-makers in local government. Ian is known for their expertise in promoting continuous improvement and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Ian Burrows attended Tiffin School For Boys from 1984 to 1992, where they completed their high school education. Ian then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sports Studies (Sports Science) from the University of Chichester, which they completed between 1992 and 1995.
