Livio Di Nepi has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Livio started their career as a Hardware Developer at S&H from 1983 to 1984. Livio then worked as a Senior System Engineer at Tektronix from 1984 to 1988, where they were responsible for the architectural design of complex measurement systems. Livio spent time in the US for training and traveled to various countries for work. From 1988 to 1992, they worked as a System Engineer at Telettra, specializing in the coordination and acceptance activities of military communication systems. Livio then joined Lucent Technologies in 1992, where they worked as a System Engineer and later as an I&T Engineer in the integration and test division. Livio gained experience in designing customized solutions for telecom operators and subsystem testing. In 2004, they joined NDS as a System I&T Engineer, focusing on the testing of conditional access subsystems and playing a leading role in smart card testing. Livio then worked at Cisco from 2013 to 2017, where they served as a Senior System Engineer in different groups. Livio was responsible for providing video test signals and working on VOD subsystem R&D. Livio also investigated and fixed bugs reported by customers. Most recently, they worked as a Software QA Engineer at Elmo Motion Control starting in 2017. Overall, Livio Di Nepi has a diverse background in system engineering, test engineering, and software quality assurance.

Livio Di Nepi completed their education in a chronological order. From 1970 to 1975, they attended Liceo Scientifico J.F. Kennedy and obtained their graduation degree in Scientific High School. In 1975, they enrolled at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they pursued a degree in Electronic Engineering and completed it in 1981. Additionally, in 1976, they participated in a summer camp at the Weizman Institute of Science, focusing on the theory and practice of constructing the CO2 laser.
