René Wellens

René Wellens has held various roles in the automation industry since 1996. In 1996, they began working as a Sales representative for Roymans bevestigingsmaterialen. In 2008, they joined Astro Controls BV as an Outside Senior Sales Engineer & Product Manager, where they were responsible for sales of pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo-electric components for the offshore industry. In 2018, they moved to ODS Metering Systems Benelux BV as an Account Manager Benelux, where they were responsible for sales of complete liquid/gas metering systems for custody transfer metering, unloading and injection. In 2019, they joined Semiotic Labs as a Business Development Manager, where they were responsible for implementation of Industry 4.0 projects with SAM4, a predictive maintenance solution. René also identified prospects globally with a focus on the water sector, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Chemicals and Oil & Gas. In 2021, they began working as a Global Business Development Manager for ELMODIS.

René Wellens obtained a NIMA-A certification from the Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing in 2001. René then attended Hogeschool West Brabant from 1995 to 1997, studying Chemistry. From 2002 to 2008, they attended Leiden University and studied Medieval René'story. In 2018, they obtained a VCA-VOL certification from the Koninklijke PBNA.
