ELNAV.AI develops privacy-first AI systems for bridge operations.

Founded in Split by a master mariner with more than 30 years at sea, we build practical tools to preserve professional watchkeeping and reduce human-factor risk on increasingly automated bridges.

Our primary focus today is Aware Mate, an on-board, human-in-the-loop vigilance and watchkeeping support system designed to help the officer of the watch stay alert, engaged, and operationally effective before risk escalates into a safety event. Aware Mate is built to complement existing bridge safeguards, including BNWAS, with on-board processing by default and clear privacy boundaries: no identity recognition, no emotion recognition, and no ship-to-shore raw video by default.

We are also developing Helm Order Monitor, an ASR-based system for helm-order verification and safety alerts.

Our approach is simple: support the watch, keep humans firmly in the loop, and build systems that fit real ship operations, SMS practice, and practical deployment constraints.

We work with operators, integrators, insurers, training centres, and other partners who want serious maritime AI without crew-surveillance theatre.
