Joe (Shuhao) Shi

Joe (Shuhao) Shi has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joe (Shuhao) worked at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director/Senior Research Fellow, where they focused on drug discovery through total synthesis and semi-synthesis of macrolides. Joe (Shuhao) designed and synthesized macrolides for IND candidates in various therapeutic areas, including RDEB, FAP, and Gram-negative bacteria targeting UTI. Following this, Joe went to Columbia University to earn their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. After completing their Ph.D., they joined The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California as a Postdoctoral Fellow, specializing in Organic Synthesis.
