Bhumika Gupta

Bhumika Gupta has a diverse work experience in the field of biocuration and research. Beginning in 2011, they worked as a Trainee at IGIB, New Delhi. Bhumika later joined CSIR - National Physical Laboratory as a Senior Research Fellow from 2015 to 2016. In 2014, they completed an Internship at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR). From 2017 to 2019, Bhumika worked as a Research Scholar and Research Fellow at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. Most recently, they have been working at Elucidata since 2022, first as a Biocuration Intern, then as a Data Curator, and currently serving as a Senior Curator.

Bhumika Gupta's education history is as follows. From 1993 to 2008, they attended Blue Bird in Aligarh to complete their schooling in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). Bhumika then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Banasthali Vidyapith from 2008 to 2012.

Following their undergraduate studies, from 2012 to 2014, Bhumika Gupta pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Amity University in Noida. From 2017 to 2020, they briefly attended Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida as a DBT-JRF, specializing in Metagenomics, to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Bhumika Gupta obtained a certification in German language from Banasthali University in July 2012.
