Sonali Fonseca

Sonali Fonseca, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of regenerative medicine and biopharmaceuticals, currently serving as General Manager and VP of Emerging Businesses at Elutia since July 2022. Prior to this, Sonali held the position of VP of Strategic Initiatives at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where significant contributions to medical research and innovation were made. Experience also includes roles at Elsevier as VP of Commercial for Oncology Clinical Pathways and VP of Strategy & Business Development, and at PwC Strategy& as Engagement Manager. Sonali began a career in consulting at Deloitte as Senior Consultant. With a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto, Sonali focused on enhancing drug efficacy in leukemia treatment during doctoral studies, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from McMaster University.
