Shihchiao Chao

Shihchiao Chao has worked in the UX/UI/Visual Design, Consultant (UX/UI), UX/UI Design, iOS Development, and UX Design Apprentice fields since 2018. In 2018, Shihchiao Chao worked as an iOS Developer at Forward Logistics, Inc. where they reviewed requirements, wireframes, and designs with UX/UI designers and product managers for technical feasibility. In 2020, Shihchiao Chao worked as an iOS Developer at Lion Guardians US where they researched and implemented assistive technology using AVSpeechSynthesizer and leveraged CoreData for the persistence of data and managing data changes. In 2021, Shihchiao Chao worked as a UX Design Apprentice at General Assembly where they designed a college course registration site to provide affordable course alternatives to students outside of their home institutions. In 2022, Shihchiao Chao worked as a UX Designer at Blinkpad where they dropped the average process time of the main user flow by 20%, reviewed requirements for technical feasibility in collaboration with the project manager and developer, and planned and conducted 3 user research with contextual interviews to validate users’ pain points. Additionally, Shihchiao Chao worked as a Consultant (UX/UI) at Nemedio and as a UX/UI Designer at The Opportunity Project 2022, General Assembly x US Census Bureau, where they collaborated with a team of 14 UX/UI Designers, Software Engineers, UX Researchers, and Data Scientists and Data Analysts on The Opportunity Project, led by the US Census Bureau, The White House OSTP, and the US Department of Commerce. Shihchiao Chao is currently working as a UX/UI/Visual Designer at Eluvio since 2023.

Shihchiao Chao obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from UC San Diego. Currently, they are enrolled in General Assembly, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022.
