Amit Puri

Amit Puri has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and data science. Amit is currently the Head of Engineering and Data Science at Elvie, where they lead a team in delivering projects for fem-tech wearable connectable products. Prior to that, they worked at CN Bio as a Hardware Development Manager and Lead Hardware Engineer, where they oversaw the mechanical engineering direction and development of instrument and consumable products. Amit also has experience at DNA Electronics as a Senior Product Development Engineer, where they led a team in developing instrument prototypes for molecular IVD development. Additionally, they have worked at Orphidia, Inc. as a Programme Manager and Lead Mechanical Engineer, overseeing the development of prototype medical chip readers. Before that, they worked at Alere Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, TAP BIOSYSTEMS LIMITED as a Hardware Engineer, and Imperial College London as a PhD Researcher and Student.

Amit Puri has a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Amit later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing it from 2006 to 2009. In 2015, they obtained the APM Project Management Qualification from Parallel Projects. Most recently, in 2021, they completed a LEAN Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from e-Careers.
