Reynard de Vries

Reynard de Vries is an accomplished aerospace engineer currently serving as the Director of Design and Engineering at Elysian Aircraft since January 2023. Concurrently, Reynard acts as a Visiting Researcher at Technische Universiteit Delft, contributing to research in electric and distributed propulsion while supervising bachelor and master students. Previous experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Researcher at TU Delft, focusing on distributed propulsion effects on aircraft performance and hybrid-electric aircraft design. Reynard also held the position of Program Manager for New Aircraft Technologies at Panta Holdings B.V., managing diverse R&D projects related to electric aircraft. Educational accomplishments include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Master's degree in the same field, complemented by a comprehensive teaching background and internships in leading aerospace companies.
