Dr Miguel Bravo trained at some of the world’s leading medical institutions, earning his medical degree from the University of Navarra, where he ranked in the top percentile on Spain’s national residency exam. He completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital and an advanced fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston.

During his plastic surgery training, Dr Miguel Bravo gained experience through surgical rotations at renowned institutions including the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University, and at the University of Chicago. Beyond his surgical expertise, Dr. Bravo holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School and a Healthcare Economics certificate from Harvard Business School, strengthening his leadership in improving quality, outcomes, and patient experience.

Career

After completing his training, Dr. Miguel Bravo first role was serving as Program and Scientific Director of Plastic Surgery at Cirumed Clinic in Marbella, Spain, later becoming Medical Director, before establishing his own private practice in Madrid. In 2023, he relocated to the UAE and joined the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi as an Associate Staff Physician. After serving as an Associate Staff Physician for two years, Dr Miguel Bravo moved to Elyzee Hospital, Abu Dhabi where he currently operates as Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

Alongside his busy schedule as a prestigious plastic surgeon, Dr. Miguel Bravo is an active educator and author, contributing peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on gluteal surgery, fat grafting, and lymphatic reconstruction, published in leading journals such as the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and the Journal of Surgical Research.

His most notable works include: The All but Forgotten Mascagni-Sappey Pathway: Learning from Immediate Lymphatic Reconstruction (2020) and Flow-through Omental Flap for Vascularized Lymph Node Transfer: A Novel Surgical Approach for Delayed Lymphatic Reconstruction (2019).

Dr Bravo is a highly regarded international speaker, frequently presenting on ultrasound-guided liposculpture and body contouring at scientific meetings worldwide.

His achievements include some of the most prestigious awards one can achieve within the field of plastic surgery in Spain. This includes the Best Plastic Surgery Resident Award from the Spanish Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Best eHealth Innovation Award for Drenapp, and the Best National Resident Award from both the Sanitas Foundation and the Spanish Government.

Since 2024, Doctor Miguel Bravo has served as a Board Member on the Body Contouring Committee of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP) and has been Treasurer of the Spanish Society of Fat Transfer since 2023.
