Juan Jose Caselles has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Juan Jose began their career at the Courts of First Instance and Inquiry of Alicante as a Judge Pro Tempore in 1988. From there, they moved on to work as an Advisor on business cooperation and technology transfer at IMPIVA (Institute of Small and Medium Sized Business of Valencia) under the Generalitat Valenciana. Juan Jose then took on the role of European Regional Development Project Coordinator at Agència de Desenvolupament Econòmic i Social. In 1996, Caselles joined ELZABURU, where they became the Head of the Anti-Counterfeiting Department, IP Litigation Lawyer & Consultant, and Associate Partner. Juan Jose specialized in investigating and litigating industrial and intellectual property crimes, as well as civil infringements. In 2008, they became an Associate Professor in Intellectual Property Law and Advertising Law at the University Carlos III of Madrid. Juan Jose also served as an Arbitrator at the Arbitration Court of the Madrid Bar Association from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Professor in Criminal Procedure Law at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas-ICADE from 2010 to 2013.
Juan Jose Caselles earned their PhD in Law from the University of Valencia between the years 2013 to 2016. Juan Jose obtained the degree of Doctor en Derecho during this period.
