Peter Gasparik

Peter Gasparik has worked in the IT industry since 2000. Peter started their career at P-MAT, n.o. as a Web Developer, where they developed public web pages, transforming them later on into a full CMS system using PHP and postegreSQL. During high school, they developed the system Investland which was used by multiple schools in Slovakia for simulation and teaching basics of economics and enterprise management. Peter was also responsible for leading and managing various small internal projects.

In 2007, Gasparik joined ShipitSmarter as a Development Lead. Peter was responsible for architecture design and leading a team of 4 developers in the R&D department to implement future features of the system using state-of-the-art technologies (C# 4. 7, AutoFac, Angular 5, RxJS) and a custom printing application (SignalR). Peter also automated tests using Moq and xUnit, and end-2-end tests using Karma/Jasmine. Peter also held the role of Development Lead, leading a team of 5 developers using SCRUM techniques to implement features and designs according to customer requests (C# 4. 5, AutoFac, AngularJS). Peter also automated tests using Moq and xUnit, and conducted peer reviews. Additionally, they held the role of Web Developer in the System Conversion Team, transforming a legacy system into an agile development environment.

Most recently, in 2018, Gasparik joined eM Client as a Programmer.

Peter Gasparik received their Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave between 2005 and 2008. Peter then went on to receive their Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence from the same university between 2008 and 2010. Finally, they completed their Rigorous Thesis in Information Technology from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave in 2011.
