Upendra Poudel, PhD, PE, has extensive experience in structural engineering, currently serving as Principal at EM Structural since August 2018, following roles as Associate Principal. Prior experience includes senior project management at The SK&A Group and project management/structural engineering at Joe DeReuil Associates, LLC. Upendra's career began with civil engineering at Iteco Nepal Private Limited and progressed through research roles at the Asian Institute of Technology and Wayne State University, where Upendra contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and a Master of Engineering from Wayne State University and the Asian Institute of Technology, respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University.
