Rev. Dr. Paul Wenz

Rev. Dr. Paul Wenz currently serves as Pastor at Emanuel Lutheran Church since May 2022 and has been an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Concordia University, Irvine, since August 2002, teaching Old Testament and New Testament Theology as well as Introduction to Christianity. Wenz has extensive experience in pastoral and educational roles, including serving as Circuit Counselor for the Pacific Southwest District LCMS from January 2012 to February 2023, and as Pastor at Faith Lutheran Church, where community outreach and youth ministries were emphasized. Additional roles include Associate Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange, CA, and teaching Philosophy and Critical Thinking at Mount Marty College. Wenz holds advanced degrees in Theology and Pastoral Leadership from prestigious institutions, including Concordia Seminary and Gateway Seminary.
