Darshan Maldikar has extensive experience in marine engineering, with a career at Emarat Maritime, LLC dating from August 2010 to the present. Starting as a 5th engineer and progressing to the role of Junior Engineer, Darshan has served as a 3rd engineer since February 2015. Darshan holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering from Tolani Maritime Institute and completed an MEO Class IV (Part B) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at M.M.D. Mumbai from 2012 to 2013.

Emarat Maritime operates a modern fleet of ships, recognized worldwide as the “Dubai Series”. Commencing operation in 1990 with focus on the regional agricultural products trade, the Company changed its strategy with the turn of the century and acquired the first handymax bulk carrier in 2001. Since then there has been no looking back and the current fleet stands at ten modern handmax and Super handymax bulk carriers, Three modern Aframax crude oil tanker, one VLCC tanker, three container feeder vessels and one multipurpose vessel.
