Benjamin J. L. Hofmann began their work experience in 2014 as a Sales Engineer at CustomerTimes, specializing in Salesforce and other enterprise platforms. In 2018, they worked as a Masterand at BMW Group before becoming a Managing Partner at IMM and Moving Indicators. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Student Research Assistant at the Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebswissenschaften, TUM. In 2016, they worked as a Thesis Worker and Intern at MAN Truck & Bus AG and as a Student Assistant at Technische Universität München. In 2015, they worked as a Tutor for Project Management and Student Assistant at Technische Universität München. Prior to that, in 2014, they were a Project Manager at Technische Universität München, leading a team in the creation of a short film on the topic of Industrie 4.0. Currently, Benjamin serves as the CTO at emax digital, where they previously held the positions of Head of Data Science and Technologieexperte.

Benjamin J. L. Hofmann completed their education in a chronological order. Benjamin J. L. started their education at Ludwig-Thoma Gymnasium Prien in 2004 and continued until 2009. During this period, they obtained their high school diploma. Moving forward, in 2010, they attended Ludwig-Thoma-Gymnasium Prien again and completed their Abitur degree, which is the German equivalent to a high school diploma.

In 2012, Benjamin enrolled in the Technical University of Munich to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. Benjamin J. L. successfully completed this program in 2015. Afterward, they continued their education at the same university and joined the Master of Engineering program in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology from 2016 to 2018. By the end of this period, they obtained their Master of Engineering degree.

In addition to their formal education, Benjamin also obtained several certifications. In January 2015, they received a Basic Certificate in Project Management (GPM) from GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement. Benjamin J. L. further expanded their knowledge by completing the Google Cloud Platform Essential Training from Lynda.com in December 2018. Additionally, they obtained the Algorithmic Trading and Stocks Essential Training certification, also from Lynda.com, in August 2018.
