Angela Lin

Angela Lin has a diverse work experience in various legal and corporate roles. Angela has worked as the Chief Risk, Legal and Privacy Officer at Embark Student Corp. since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer at the same company from January 2018 to June 2023. Before joining Embark, Angela held the position of Vice President, Legal & General Counsel at Heritage Education Funds Inc. from November 2014 to January 2018. Angela also worked as a Director, Legal Counsel at President's Choice Financial from November 2011 to October 2014. Angela's earlier experience includes working as a Lawyer at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP from September 2005 to November 2011, as well as roles in Project Management at Mattamy Homes from May 2003 to April 2005, and in Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Quality Control at Weston Bakeries from September 2001 to August 2003. Angela started their career as a Lawyer and Counsel in 2006.

Angela Lin has a diverse education history. Angela completed an MBA Essentials for Managers program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Western University between 2003 and 2005. In 1999, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences, Food Sciences from the University of Guelph. Angela's undergraduate degree is a BSc. in Biochemistry, which they earned from McMaster University between 1995 and 1999. In 2019, they completed a Web Development course at BrainStation. Additionally, Angela has obtained several certifications including a Drone Pilot Certificate from Transport Canada, a Civil Aviation Private Pilot license from Transport Canada, a Partners, Directors & Senior Officers Course from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), and a Sales Representative Proficiency Course from the RESP Dealers Association of Canada.
