Customer Service Representative at Embark Veterinary

Katie Montecalvo has worked in the pet industry since 2012. Katie started as a Grooming Assistant at beautyinthebeast in 2013, then worked as a Veterinary Technician at Hudson Animal Hospital and Melrose Animal Clinic from 2014-2015. In 2012, they were an Associate for Retail, Pet Hotel, and Pet Care at PetSmart, where they were responsible for the Pet Hotel and all documentation of interactions, food, water, and play throughout each pet's stay. Katie also had knowledge of the entire store in order to assist customers. Most recently, they have been a Customer Service Representative at Embark Veterinary since 2022. In this role, they are responsible for explaining results with customers, describing health conditions, breed results, trait results, giving litter predictions, parentage, COI/COR information, etc. Katie is also responsible for talking with veterinarians and vet professionals about the vet product, how to implement the product into clinics, answering any questions regarding their clients' results or activation issues with the swab, creating new veterinary accounts for them, creating invoices for veterinary professionals, and becoming an admin and being responsible for Facebook content on the Embark Veterinary page.

Katie Montecalvo earned their Associate's degree in Animal Sciences from Northshore Community College between 2011 and 2014.
