Shyamala Jayakumar

Shyamala Jayakumar currently serves as the Head of Talent Management & Solutions at Embark since July 2025. Prior to this role, Shyamala held positions at Commonwealth Bank as HR Business Partner and Head of Talent Acquisition in India from January 2020 to July 2025. Shyamala's experience also includes serving as Head of Recruitment at AXA from June 2017 to December 2019 and as VP HR at XChanging Technologies from December 2013 to May 2017, overseeing HR and Recruitment across multiple locations. Earlier roles included Head of Recruitment at ANZ and Senior Manager Recruitment at Reliance Retail. Shyamala began a career in talent acquisition and consultancy with Gilbert Tweed International and TMI Network, and held a prior role as Area Sales Manager at Macmillan. Educational background includes a B.Com and an MBA in HR & Marketing from Karnatak University.
