Eliav Benjamin

Eliav Benjamin has a diverse and extensive work experience. Eliav currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, starting in 2014. At the Ministry, Benjamin held several key positions, including Head of Middle East Bureau, Director of Coordination in the Director General's Bureau, and Chief of Staff of the Political Director.

Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Benjamin worked as a Counselor for Political Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington DC from 2010 to 2014. Eliav also served as a Policy Advisor to the Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2010.

Earlier in their career, Benjamin held the role of Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai from 2002 to 2006. Eliav also worked as a Project Coordinator at Project Otzma in 1996 and as PR & Media personnel at the Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei from 1994 to 1995.

Eliav Benjamin completed their Masters degree in public policy and management at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their BA in Middle East & Islam from Tel Aviv University, graduating from 1997 to 2000. Eliav'searliest known education was at Himelfarb from 1986 to 1989, but no specific degree or field of study was provided for this period.
