Debjit Chanda has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, starting as a Captain at Imperial Hotel where they quickly progressed to become a Captain at Spice Route, one of the top ten restaurants globally. Debjit then joined Taj Hotels as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, responsible for the entire operation of the department. In 2013, Debjit transitioned to JLL India, where they held various managerial roles such as Soft Service Manager, Campus Manager, and Senior Manager. During their time at JLL, they managed FM service delivery, chaired the APAC Innovation forum for the Intel account, and spearheaded transitions and implementation projects. In 2020, Debjit moved to CBRE as a Deputy General Manager, overseeing office space management and the P&L account across multiple locations. Currently, they work as the Head of Operations at Embassy Services, managing a large co-working office space facility with a diverse team and partner resources.
Debjit Chanda completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business/Corporate Communications from Suresh Gyan Vihar University in Jaipur from 2019 to 2022. Previously, from 1999 to 2002, Debjit obtained a Diploma in Hospitality Administration/Management from the Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Tourism. Additionally, Debjit has earned certifications, such as the Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and IFMA, and an Advanced Certification in Facility Management from CBRE Facilities Management. Furthermore, Debjit obtained certifications such as the Restaurant Managers Program and Cross Cultural Diversity from Taj Hotels in 2008 and 2016, respectively.
