Alessandro Pizzochero is a highly experienced engineer with a focus on research and development in the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer in R&D Infusion Innovation at embecta since April 2022, Alessandro has previously held significant roles at BD from July 2013 to April 2022, contributing to innovative diabetes care solutions. Alessandro's career also includes experience as a consultant at Starboard Innovations, Lead Engineer at SpringLeaf Therapeutics, where Alessandro co-invented a drug pump and led successful clinical trials, and Senior Engineer at Polatis Photonics, developing novel actuator technologies. Alessandro holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
