Tom Blount

Tom Blount is a seasoned executive in the healthcare and diabetes care sectors, currently serving as Senior Vice President and President of North America at embecta since April 2022. Prior to this role, Tom held various leadership positions at BD from June 2016 to April 2022, including Vice President/General Manager of U.S. Diabetes Care and Worldwide Vice President/General Manager of Infusion & Global Marketing. Tom's earlier career at Sanofi spanned from May 2013 to May 2016, where responsibilities included leading the Diabetes Value & Access team and serving as AVP for Toujeo Payer Marketing. Tom’s extensive experience also includes significant marketing roles at sanofi-aventis and a strong educational foundation with a BS in Foreign Languages from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MS in International Relations from Troy University.
