Dody Setiawan

Dody Setiawan is a Senior Analyst in Climate and Energy at Ember, focusing on coal mine methane research in Indonesia and advocating for policies to reduce methane emissions. Previously, Dody served as a Principal Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, overseeing project implementation and providing strategic advice to stakeholders in the Indonesian government. Other roles at GIZ included Deputy Principal Advisor, Advisor on Knowledge and Information Management, Advisor on Renewable Energy, and Consultant, involving significant contributions to renewable energy policies and projects. Earlier experiences include a project consultant position at WWF and business development at Genta Energy. Dody holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Meteorology from IPB University and a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainable Development (Renewable Energy) from National Central University.
