Georgios Savoglidis has a varied work experience spanning from 2003 to present. In 2003, they completed a summer internship as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Heracles. From 2004 to 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Patras, specializing in Biochemical Process Control and Optimization. In 2010, they became a Postdoctoral Scientist in Process Control at the same university. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) as an Associate Scientist and Postdoctoral Scientist in Systems Biology, constructing kinetic metabolic models and models of protein post-translational modifications. In 2016, they founded and became the CEO of Embion Technologies, a Swiss company developing and commercializing new industrial processing technology.
Georgios Savoglidis obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras in 2010, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Process Simulation, Optimization and Control from the same institution in 2010. Georgios also holds a Diploma (MSc & Bachelor equivalent) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras, which they obtained in 2004. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in CTI Entrepreunership Training - Business Concept from EPFL Innovation Park in June 2015, Leadership and Management Skills for Scientists from hfp consulting in February 2015, and Principles of Good Scientific Collaboration from hfp consulting in October 2013.
