Alvin Han is a Postdoctoral Researcher at EMBL in the Detlev Arendt group since April 2024. Previously, Alvin served as an Oral Communications Tutor at The Hume Center for Writing and Speaking at Stanford University from September 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included leading speaking exercises and providing feedback for student presentations. From September 2018 to December 2023, Alvin was a PhD Candidate at Stanford University, focused on gastrointestinal biology under the guidance of Professors Denise Monack and Ami Bhatt. Prior research experience includes a Research Assistant role at Rawls Lab, Duke University, where studies involved host-microbiome interactions and bacterial behavior, as well as internships and fellowships at Cornell University and Roche Molecular Systems, respectively. Alvin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology and Computational Biology from Duke University, awarded in 2018.
