Valerie Maier

Valerie Maier is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in operations and leadership. Currently serving as the TREC Field Operations Coordinator at EMBL since October 2022, Valerie also holds a position as a Board Member at Arterna since June 2022. As President of the Icelandic Triathlon Federation from February 2020, Valerie has demonstrated a commitment to sports governance. Prior experience includes a role as a Specialist at the University of Iceland from November 2014 to December 2022 and serving as an Assistant Professor at the same institution in 2013. Valerie earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow between 1997 and 2001.
