Daniel Stein is the CEO of Embold Health, a position they have held since the company’s founding in 2017. Prior to Embold Health, Stein was the Chief Medical Officer of Walmart Care Clinics from July 2013 to June 2017. In this role, Stein co-created and led the medical team for Walmart’s Care Clinics, which offers affordable, quality healthcare services through primary care clinics in Walmart stores. From June 2009 to June 2013, Stein was a Primary care internal medicine resident and Clinical Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During this time, they also participated in the Medical Management Leadership program. From December 2013 to June 2017, Stein worked as a Physician at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, delivering medical care to U.S. veterans in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Prior to that, they interned in the Special Program Office for Value-Based Purchasing at The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services from June 2006 to August 2006.

Daniel Stein received their MBA from Harvard Business School, their MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and their BA from Yale University in Ethics, Politics, and Economics (EP&E).
