Raphael Das Neves Calvo

Raphael das Neves Calvo, M.Eng., is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in flight control systems. As a Distinguished Engineer at Embraer since February 2021, Raphael oversees technical harmonization across multiple aircraft programs and contributes to the conceptualization of system architectures for distributed control systems. Previous roles at Embraer included Distinguished Flight Control System Engineer and Principal Flight Control System Engineer, focusing on requirements specification for maintenance functions and signal processing in embedded systems. Raphael's career began with an internship at VARIG, involving field maintenance of Boeing and Douglas aircraft, and includes a strong educational background with a Master’s in Aeronautic Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and an Engineering degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
