Edina Moresco has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Edina started their career as a Researcher at Fundação Mato Grosso in 1995, focusing on Cotton Breeding. From 2000 to 2008, they served as a Scientific Advisor at Fundo de Apoio à Cultura do Algodão (FACUAL). In 2008, they joined Instituto Mato-grossense do Algodão (IMA-MT) as a Researcher, where they curated the cotton germplasm collection and managed various tasks related to seed multiplication and data bank updates. Edina then worked as the Latin America Regional Coordinator at Better Cotton Initiative from 2009 to 2011. Since 2011, Edina has been a part of Embrapa, where they initially worked as a Researcher until 2017. Edina then served as an Advisor to the President, followed by the role of Team Manager - Business and Contracts until 2021. Currently, Edina holds the position of Chief of Technology Transfer - Embrapa Forest at Embrapa.

Edina Moresco has a comprehensive education history with a focus on plant breeding, genetics, and project management. Edina began their educational journey in 1990 at the Escola Superior de Ciências Agrárias de Rio Verde, where they obtained a degree in Agronomy in 1994. Following this, they pursued further studies at USP - Universidade de São Paulo and earned a Master's degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics from 1998 to 2000. Edina's commitment to research and academia continued as they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics at the same university from 2000 to 2003.

In 2003, Edina Moresco expanded their academic horizons by becoming a Visiting Scientist at Texas A&M University, where they specialized in cotton breeding for nematode resistance until 2006. This experience allowed their to gain valuable expertise in a specific aspect of plant breeding.

With a passion for managing and leading projects, Edina pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from MBA USP/Esalq, specializing in Project Management from 2019 to 2021. This educational endeavor equipped their with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in project management roles.

To further enhance their professional profile, Edina Moresco obtained a certification in ESTRATÉGIAS EM RIG from CONSULT-MASTER in November 2022. Although this certification is not directly related to their previous degree programs, it demonstrates their commitment to staying updated and acquiring additional skills in their field of expertise.
