Head Of Technology Transfer at Embrapa

Vitor Mondo has a diverse work experience in the agriculture industry. Vitor started their career at Syngenta as a Commercial and Technical Assistant, where they conducted soy rusty monitoring trials and was involved in pre and post sales activities. Vitor then worked at Arysta LifeScience as a Commercial and Technical Assistant before joining Monsanto Company. At Monsanto, Vitor held the positions of Field Quality & Production Research Agronomist, where they coordinated Quality Management System initiatives and monitored soy seed production activities.

Vitor later joined Embrapa, where they held various roles, including Crop Science Researcher, Technology Transfer Advisor, and Innovation Network Coordinator. Vitor was also the Head of Technology Transfer at Embrapa Digital Agriculture, where they were responsible for open innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, R&D partnerships, and technology licensing. Vitor also served as the Regional Manager at Embrapa Products and Market Unit, overseeing technology and product licensing and maintaining business relationships.

Throughout their career, Vitor has demonstrated expertise in technology transfer, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector.

Vitor Mondo began their education at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 1999, where they pursued a degree in Agronomy with a specialization in Phytopathology. Vitor graduated from USP in 2004 with the degree of Agronomist.

After a brief break, Vitor returned to USP to further their studies. Vitor enrolled in a PhD program in Crop Science, which they completed in 2010. During this time, their research focused on the improvement of crop productivity and sustainability.

In 2019, Vitor attended the AgFoodtech International Program at Purdue University. The program concentrated on innovation and entrepreneurship with a particular emphasis on integrating startups, academia, and industry.

Alongside their formal education, Vitor also acquired additional certifications. In November 2020, they obtained the ExO Foundations certification from OpenExO, which focuses on exponential thinking and transforming organizations. In October 2020, they completed the Programa de Metodologia-Base para Mentores (PMBM) from ABMEN, the Brazilian Association of Business Mentors.

Overall, Vitor Mondo has a solid educational background with degrees in Agronomy and Crop Science, as well as certifications in exponential thinking and mentoring methodology.
