Claudia Cornejo Happel

Claudia Cornejo Happel, PhD, EdS, serves as the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University since July 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing instructional support and serving as adjunct professor in Latin American Studies. Previously, Claudia held various roles at Georgia Southern University from July 2014 to July 2019, including Team Lead at the Center for Teaching Excellence and Assistant Director at the Center for Teaching and Learning, focusing on professional development for faculty. Claudia's early experience includes a doctoral internship at The Ohio State University, where efforts centered on faculty development and internationalizing the curriculum, along with teaching Spanish and Portuguese courses as a graduate teaching associate. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Colonial and Early Modern Iberian Literatures and Cultures from The Ohio State University, an EdS in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University, and a Master's degree from the University of Florida.
