Jeanny Thorson

Jeanny Thorson possesses extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as a Bond Underwriter I and previously as a Bond Underwriting Associate at EMC Insurance Companies since December 2019. Prior to this role, Jeanny worked at Great American Insurance Group for over a decade in various underwriting and service positions within the Property & Inland Marine Division. Responsibilities included cross-functional collaboration with agents and brokers, processing new business submissions, endorsements, and cancellations, as well as data entry and error resolution. Jeanny has also held roles at Rodan + Fields, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, UNC Charlotte as a Teacher Assistant, and Applebee's, demonstrating skills in training, customer service, and operational support. Jeanny holds an Associate of Arts degree from Mitchell Community College and has pursued studies in Mass Communication/Media Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
