Andrew Backus

Andrew Backus is a seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in both the military and private sectors. Currently serving as SVP of EMCOR Mechanical Services and CEO of EMCOR Services Aircond since March 2016, Andrew leads a team focused on delivering comprehensive HVAC repairs, plumbing services, and energy solutions. Previously, Andrew held the position of CEO at Bahnson, Inc., overseeing specialized HVAC systems for over a century. Andrew's military background includes over 27 years in the US Army, culminating as a Colonel, with roles such as Chief of Staff for the Assistant Secretary of the Army and Engineer Director for the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan, directing significant infrastructure projects. Educational qualifications include a BS in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MS in Engineering from the University of Washington, along with completion of the National Security Fellows Program at Harvard Kennedy School.
